I heard Jim Cutler in a really good interview once talk about voice over auditions. He spoke about the “grind” in it. You inevitably have to go through dozens, if not hundreds of auditions, only landing a small percentage of the gigs you ever audition for.
A while back, I received a call to do a secret audition for a new project that was about to launch for the “Nick and Artie Show” featuring Nick DiPaolo and Artie Lange.
They ultimately went with a really good voice guy for the voice over of show, but as a finalist for the gigI still was pretty happy with the audition audio I put together for them.
